The e-Enduro race series powered by Specialized is ready for the upcoming 2019 season with important news especially regarding dates and race locations.
Absolutely, the top news is the Skill Events venue that for the first time will take place in Rocchetta Belbo – CN Italy, hometown of Race Events Chief Trails Advisor’s Franco Monchiero.
The idea of the Skill Events was duplicated from the MotoGp motorcycle championships were before the start of the next season, some testing days rounds are organized in different locations. These tests rounds are aimed at fine tuning the set up of the new bikes, checking the level of preparation of the riders after the off season period and eventually presenting new sponsors and liveries.
Following this spirit, the race Events staff decided to introduce a similar event to the 2019 e-Enduro calendar, calling it Skill Events. This is a non competitive event open not only to racers but to everyone who never compete in an e-Enduro race. On the one hand, the professional riders will have the opportunity to practice just one special stage and to be timed in different sectors (climbing, descending and elapsed times) to test themselves against their competitors, to fine tune their e-bikes and to evaluate their confidence and feel in riding. On the other hand, amateurs will have the chance to ride on the same trails where the pro compete. To add value to the tests a confidential printout will be provided to all the teams to evaluate comparisons or just checking changes in driving styles.
e-Enduro Skill Events-Rocchetta Belbo is a world premiere in the MTB universe and surely will be the catalyst of the national and international media interest on what is the at the moment the more important race series dedicated exclusively to the electric mountain bikes.
As in the other dates in the 2019 calendar, the Skill Events date in Rocchetta Belbo will have an Expo Area where all the race series sponsor’s will show the previews of their products and eventually let the general public test them. A Team Area will also be set up by the organization and will be open to all the teams enrolled in the upcoming season. This is the space dedicated not only to the team’s activities but also to the media presentations of the new bikes, the new sponsors and obviously for the new team liveries. The e- Enduro website will have a section set aside for the teams called Team e-Enduro. This section will include a short presentation of all the teams enrolled in the series as well as pictures. Each team principal must ask to be included in this section mailing a request with the required pictures and presentation using this form.

NOTES ABOUT THE TIMING
The timing is provided by MySdam and will be active from 1PM to 5PM on Saturday, March 2 and from 9AM to 1.00 Pm on Sunday, March 3.
Each hour an updated printout indicating uphill and downhill intermediate times as well as the special stage final time will be posted by the organization.
SKILL EVENTS RULEBOOK
- Helmets, pads, gloves and protections are not mandatory but strongly advised.
- Special stage runs are unlimited when wearing the organization bracelet delivered at registration.
- No bike markings and change of bike allowed.
- Brose provided recharging station free of charge.
- 25 euro registration fee includes timing chip unit use and refreshement.
